The Sundowners 4x4 Club meets the second Thursday of each month at the Oakwood Community Center, 3320 Laird Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI, at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact Marie Dunning.

February 11 th , 2010 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Abe Dunning. There were 15 members present and no visitors.
OLD BUSINESS
Yearly $60.00 dues were due in January. Please bring them to the next meeting or mail them to Marie Dunning, 4041 Laird, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.

If you are interested in purchasing
T-shirts, sweatshirts or coats with the Sundowners logo on them, please contact Ginny Cross @ 269-343-4494. Ginny always donates to our events and does great work.
If you sell your vehicle, don’t forget to take off the Sundowners stickers.
We have 4” & 6” outside stickers, dash plaques and license plates for sale for your vehicles.
Don’t forget to order from 4 Wheel Hardware. The club gets a 3% rebate yearly.
NEW BUSINESS
Terry Hoffman has made up some extra copies of the DVD from the Christmas Party. Please let Marie know if you would like a copy.
Marty has finished installing the air conditioning for the Oakwood Community Center. Marty charged the center $500.00 for labor and that money has been applied to the rental of the building for our monthly meetings. $300.00 went to 2009 and $200.00 carried over to 2010. The club will write a check for $100.00 to cover the balance for 2010.
GREAT LAKES 4WD ASSOCATION
The next United Convention is coming to Michigan. It will be the week of June 14 th, 2010 and will be in Traverse City. There will be camping available and we will get the itinerary soon. More information to follow.
If you are interested in joining Great Lakes 4WD Association, your membership is only $25.00 a year. This is only for paid Sundowners members.
TRAILMASTER REPORT
We did not have any events this last month.
UPCOMING EVENTS
February 21 st – 1 st Aide Training
This will be an American Heart Certified Course and the cost will be $35.00 per person. The same instructor that taught us the course 2 years ago will teach it again. We will have the training at the Oakwood Community Center at 3:30 pm. If you would like to take this course next week, please let Marie know ASAP.
March 13 th – Chili Run
We will meet at Wayne & Sandy’s house between 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. to drop off the chili and goodies and then head to the property to wheel and back to Wayne’s to eat and wheel some more. Mark Seybert’s birthday is also this day!
April 17 th – Forest Clean Up
This is The Two Trackers 12 th annual event. See the enclosed flier.
April 24 th – BBBS Event
This will be a joint event with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Uncle Ernies’ children from the Edison Neighborhood. The club will provide lunch. We will need many rigs for this event.
May 1 st – Jeep Blessing
Cadillac Jeepers 9 th annual Jeep blessing. See enclosed flier.
July 24 th – Annual Rodeo
The rodeo will be at the property again this year. We would like to see some new volunteers help out and we need some volunteers to come up with some new games. Adam has ordered the pig and has already made some calls for donations. We will also check with Del to see if we can get the loader again. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Wayne Rynbrand.
August 13 th – 17 th Ultimate MI Adventure
Adam is planning a week long run with five parks, five days and 600 miles. Please find the enclosed information. If you have any questions, please contact Adam.
Sept 2010 – Drummond Island Run
Swamp Stompers are putting on an invite only, large event on Drummond Island. There will be a couple of other clubs invited, perhaps 50 personal invites to wheelers who use to attend the well known Super Yooper events from years ago. This is an open invite to all Sundowners members. More information to follow.
